DESCRIPTION & COMPOSITION

The house is located in Liguria, at the Riviera dei Fiori, also referred to as the Flower Riviera at the Mediterranean Sea, seven kilometers above Ventimiglia, the border town between France and Italy (see map).

Division of the house:

Ground floor: entrance hall only, cupboard, meter cupboard and stairs to the first floor.

First floor: master bedroom, very spacious, with large double bed and dressing table, fireplace, seating and room for cots, cradles, etc. Furthermore, 1 bedroom with twin beds (convertible into a double bed), two cots and a large closet. Bathroom with shower, toilet-bidet and washbowl with hot and cold water.

Plenty of cupboards in the hallway next to the bedroom adjoining the second bathroom with bath, wash bowl with hot and cold water and a washing machine. There are 2 folding baby beds available, including the bedding, a potty, baby toys and cuddly toys.
The cots are camping beds put under the first bedroom's window.

Second floor: living room with balcony, Hi-fi, TV-video, DVD player, dining room with china cabinet, table with 8 chairs, cabinet with glassware, maps and tourist information.
Adjoining room with seating, games, books and fireplace. Kitchen with gas stove, fridge, dishwasher, coffee and espresso machine, all required kitchenware, glasses, tea, spices, vases etc.

Third floor: the entire floor is turned into a covered roof terrace fully tiled with natural stone. It has a fireplace, dining table and chairs, loungers, benches with pillows, a small kitchenette with 3 burner gas cooking range and a wok, oven, sink and tumble dryer.

CADRE DU LOGEMENT ET ACTIVITÉS

Dolceacqua is located in the hills, at the Italian side of the border, where it is still nice and quiet to walk or to go cycling. Only 45 min drive from the Colle di Tende with its eternal snow, glacier and ski areas.

A variety of maps and information of the region + towns nearby lie at your disposal. The maps are the most detailed ones you can get, but the paths are not always easy to find.
Fortunately there is always a corner to turn at or a mountain top from which the village, the see or the river is visible. There are binoculars at your disposal as well, feel free to use them!

Lakes nearby, chestnut woods with edible mushrooms and hills and mountains to explore. You can make walks through olive groves or alongside the rivers and spot some kingfishers. Or visit some ancient churches or farms.
By bike you get to the beach of Ventimiglia, in Camporosso Mare in no time.
Camporosso Mare also has a unique birds reserve alongside the sea and the river Nervia (also running through our village) where it is nice to walk and relax.
More fashionable beaches to be found in Bordighera, San Remo or Nice.

Beach and sea.
There are pebble beaches with rocks to sit on or lean to, boats on the beach in all colors, bars and restaurants at or alongside the beach, small rock formations a bit further away from the waterfront into the sea so small bays are created where it is save for children to play. The older children will then again appreciate the rocks to have a relaxing sunbath.
