DESCRIPTION & COMPOSITION

This nice holiday apartment surrounded by a forest is located in L'Escala, on the Costa Brava. It lies just 900 meters from the sandy beach and a supermarket. L'Escala is situated between the southern end of the Gulf of Roses and Cala (bay) Montgó. It is an important fishing port and tourist center. L'Escala is one of the smaller holidays resorts in the Costa Brava/Catalonia region - it is not far from the border with France and is perfect for families and independent holidaymakers who are looking to avoid the overcrowded holiday resorts. The town is surrounded by blue flag beaches. At the northern end of the town the Bay of Roses offers some of the most beautiful unspoiled beaches anywhere. In the town centre there is the popular beach at Riell's while on the south side of town lies the lovely beach at Montgo.

This cozy two-bedroom apartment has a capacity of 4 persons. The open kitchen is equipped with an electric hob, refrigerator, oven, freezer, washing machine, dishes/cutlery, kitchen utensils, coffee maker and toaster. Furthermore, the accommodation offers the following amenities: a garden, terrace, iron and communal swimming pool. A child bed can be rented.

CADRE DU LOGEMENT ET ACTIVITÉS

<p>L'Escala makes an excellent base for exploring the mostly unspoiled northern Costa Brava with its beautiful beaches, art, historic monuments, nature parks and one of Spain's most important bird sanctuaries, which is situated just a few kilometers north of town. The town is renowned for its anchovies and ancient ruins of Empuries and plays host to a number of festivals throughout the year. The area also boasts a wealth of facilities for sports enthusiasts. There are several golf courses in the area including the excellent Emporda 27-hole course. Cycling is very popular here as well. The area around L’Escala is flat, however the Pyrenees provide inclines for the more serious rider. Tennis, walking, horseback riding, go–carting, fishing and other water sports including kayaking, sailing and snorkeling are popular and there are several scuba diving centres in the vicinity. For water sports enthusiasts excellent beaches to the north of L'Escala in the Bay of Roses are a paradise for sailing and windsurfing. The quiet beaches of superb fine sand that stretch for kilometers, are ideal for sun bathing. The few rocky parts that exist have an abundance of fish and other marine life and make great sites for snorkeling.</p><p> </p>
