DESCRIPTION & COMPOSITION

This villa is located midway in the valley that leads to Rokytnice nad Jizerou, which is one of the most important tourist towns in the eastern part of the Giant Mountains. This area is well known and loved for its beautiful natural environment containing many pine trees. Throughout the year many visitors come to this area. Around the house you can find many interesting sites. The house is situated against a hillside, on enclosed grounds. You rent the ground floor as the top floor is not used. At the side of the road there is a garage for you to use. There is also plenty of parking inside the grounds. Opposite the house there is a bus stop. The center of Rokytnice is about 1km away. Villa Eva makes an excellent base for exploring the richness of this area.

This more than 100-year-old villa has retained its original old style. In the hall there is a platform with a smoking corner. The living room has been modernly decorated and contains a fireplace for authenticity. All rooms are centrally heated. The kitchen is very long and is equipped with a built-in fridge, microwave, electric cooker with 4 heating elements, electric kettle and a coffee maker. Next to the kitchen there is a raised sitting corner near the windows, with a table and two chairs. This room also has a modern wall unit with cupboards, drawers and a TV and radio. The bathroom has a whirlpool bath, a shower, toilet and heated towel rack. The large bedroom is furnished with a double bed and three single beds.

CADRE DU LOGEMENT ET ACTIVITÉS

The center of Rokytnice is only 1km away. Here you will find all the necessary facilities like a bowling alley, sauna, bars and restaurants. Both squares in the town are great for shopping. St. Michaels Church, which was built during the second half of the 18th century and restored in 1996, and the beautiful city hall buili in 1902, are both well worth a visit. Near Rokytnice, at an altitude of 1140m above sea level, lies the old mountain house of Dvoračky which is an old tavern. Past the tavern runs the Hut'sky River which drops in a 50m high waterfall. The Giant Mountains are very beautiful with their woods of conifers. Along the summit of the mountains you will find a 40km long path called "Krkonoše magistrále". Near the house you will also find a vast network of trails. Signposts and maps point the way. During your hikes you can use the chair lifts which even operate in summer. It is best to bring your passports on these trips because you will be walking near the Polish border. Along the routes there are many taverns where you can stop off for some refreshments. Other ideas for day trips include: Harrachov, near the border of Poland, is only 17km away and is well worth a visit. You can visit the glass museum here and take the cable car from Harrachov to Tanvald. Spindlerův Mlýn (42 km) is located on the banks of the Labe (Elbe) River and is the heart of this area. It also has the top ski resorts. A very special attraction is the 7km long bobsled track that begins at Spindlerova Bouda (Spindler chalet). This track is used in summer for lessons. The town of Vrchlabí (the high Elbe) is also located on the banks of the Elbe River and has beautiful traditional wooden houses and a baroque castle. The castle has 4 towers, one for each season; 52 rooms, one for each week; and 365 windows, one for each day. Liberec is one of the larger cities in northern Bohemia. It has both old and new buildings. The old 17th century St Antonius church and the old city hall are the main attractions here. If you don't feel like cooking, there are many restaurants in the town of Rokytnice, where you can enjoy an inexpensive but delicious meal.
