DESCRIPTION & COMPOSITION

This cottage is located in the northern Bohemian village of Kryštofovo Údolí, about 10 km from the town of Liberec and 100km from Prague. It’s situated next to Rokytka Pension which was established in a historic building dating from 1834. The cottage is surrounded by a nature reserve with many hiking and biking trails. Tenants of the cottage can use the facilities of Rokytka Pension.

Lay-out: Ground floor: a bathroom with shower, toilet and sink; a bedroom furnished with two single beds and another spacious bedroom furnished with a double bed. The latter has a door which provides access to outside. The ground floor also contains a kitchen equipped with a ceramic stove (with oven), fridge with freezer compartment and a sitting-corner. First floor: a bedroom with two single beds and a door providing access to outside, a living room with a dining table and a lounge area with 6 single seats and a SAT TV.

Area:Kryštofovo Údolí has many attractions including: the Church of St. Christopher, St.Christophskapelle (chapel), a railroad bridge dating from 1900, several small viaducts, and above the U Kryštofa Restaurant there is an exhibition of folk nativity scenes with more than 20 different Nativity, the oldest dating from 1846. Furthermore, in the former transformer station there is an astronomical clock with wooden figures. Since January 1, 2005 a large part of the village received protected status.Nearby you can also find numerous castles, fortresses and ruins, etc. (for example, Sychrov Castle, Lemberk, the ruins of Hamrštejn, Frýdlant Castle and many more).In winter the Ještĕd offers skiing at a modern ski resort while in summer you can take beautiful hiking or cycling tours in the area.In the city of Liberec you can visit the Zoo and Botanical Gardens, the historic town hall, or relive the history of the city and surrounding region in the museum of North Bohemia.In short, this region has something for everyone: for recreational runners, skiers, climbers, cyclists, hikers, cultural enthusiasts and nature lovers.
