DESCRIPTION & COMPOSITION

The municipality of St. Georgen ob Murau has 1460 inhabitants and consists of the following villages: St. George, St. Lorenzen, Lutzmannsdorf, Kaindorf and Bodandorf. It offers plenty of opportunity to relax. Those who are looking for the space to rest will definitely find it here. The chalet can accommodate 8-10 persons and is part of a recreational park with 14 homes. The park is located near the ski slopes of Murau and Sankt Lorenzen. Next to the chalet you will find a supermarket and a restaurant. In Murau there is a gym, a swimming pool with a spa plus restaurants and shops. Both St. Lorenzen and Murau have a playground and a recreational center. Only 1 km from the house you have the possibility of horseback riding (lessons are also available for beginners to advanced). You can ride bikes along the Mur River or take a tour which leads you into the mountains, to an altitude of 2500 meters. The golf course in Murau Kreischberg is of good quality. The largest wooden bridge in Europe, still in use, is the bridge between St. Georg and St.Lorenzen - a true masterpiece!

This wooden house has a total area of 120 m2. On the ground floor there is a large living / dining room with a fireplace, TV and CD player plus a fully-equipped kitchen, sauna, shower, toilet and storage room. The living room contains a typical Austrian dining area and a sofa bed for 2 persons. From the living room you can access the covered terrace. The well-equipped kitchen includes a dishwasher, electric stove, refrigerator, freezer, coffeemaker and toaster. Between the dining room and kitchen there is a bar. The bathroom has a shower, washing machine and dryer. You can store your ski equipment in the shed. On the first floor there are three double bedrooms, one bedroom furnished with two single beds and a bathroom with a bathtub and toilet.

CADRE DU LOGEMENT ET ACTIVITÉS

Murau is a medieval town where you can walk, enjoy plenty of culture or have fun shopping. This beer city is known for the hospitality of its inhabitants. Beside the lake at Laßnitz you’ll find a playground, a jogging track, a large slide and a restaurant with a rustic look and lovely terrace. You can also play football, table tennis, chess and table football here. There is even a bowling alley. Murau has a swimming area which consists of a natural lake with a slide, island and diving. The complex has a restaurant, beach volleyball, table tennis table and a playground. In Kreischberg boat trips are possible or you can stroll through the pastures. The restaurants on the mountain are often open. A very special attraction is the Muhrtalbahn which runs throughout the year. This 65 km long narrow-gauge railway is the 2nd longest in Austria. The largest floating wooden bridge in Europe is also located here. This links St George with St Lorenzen and is a masterpiece of Styrian wooden buildings. It is part of the Styrian Holzstrasse (Styrian Wood Route) that takes you through 24 municipalities in the province of Murau. This road connects many historic and modern wooden buildings with one another.
