DESCRIPTION & COMPOSITION
The impressive mountain view offered by the Mauthen-Kötschach resort will help make your holiday - in summer or in winter - an unforgettable experience. The combination of comfortable camping facilities with sound environmental management was rewarded in 2005 with the European Eco-Label certification. The facilities include an adventure playground with jungle gyms, swings, a seesaw, play tower and sandbox. There is also a shop with oven-fresh breakfast pastries, pizza service, homemade bio-products, magazines, souvenirs and more; all the products are of the highest quality. The unique wellness oasis offers high-temperature dry sauna, crystal steam bath, "Schwitzkastl" with colored lights, steam room with a giant stove and a fitness room and massage. With "home made" treats and barbecue evenings in the garden, you are expected at the "S Tavern" Restaurant. Meals are served from 11h to 14h, and in the evening from 18h to 22h.
In these friendly, brightly furnished 4-person apartments you will really feel at home. This large 50 m² apartment is fully-equipped and includes a small kitchen with plenty of cookware and tableware. Bed, table and hand linen is present. In the apartment you will also find a TV set with satellite connection. Of course you also have high-speed Internet access via Wi-Fi. The apartment is centrally heated (heating is included in the price). For winter sports fans there is even a room for storing skis and drying ski equipment. There is a washer and dryer in the apartment. Of course guests have access to all the facilities such as the playground with climbing tower and playroom, table tennis equipment, table football table and also the shop with breakfast pastries, and more!

Savor the quiet of the countryside on a walk through pristine meadows, unspoiled forests and pastures while at the same time discovering the flowers and plants of this fantastic mountain environment. Just a 10-minute walk away lies the fantastic "AQUARENA" wellness oasis where admission is FREE for our guests! In the "AQUARENA" you will find an indoor swimming pool with massage and bubble jets, a toddler and baby pool with all sorts of attractions for children, a 45 meter tube slide, an outdoor pool with flow channel, Finnish sauna, samarium, bio, Roman tepidarium, Turkish steam bath, fizzy basin for the legs, bucket shower and cold plunge pool. The mountains of the Gailtaler- and Carnic Alps around Kötschach-Mauthen are unique for walkers, hikers, mountaineers and climbers. Among the most popular destinations are the Calnic Ridgeway, the Geo on Plöcken Pass, Wolayer Lake and the "paths of peace" - in the field of the open-air museum - on Plöcken Pass. An adventurous tour across the gorge via the Mauthner suspension bridges and footbridges should not be missed! Kötschach-Mauthen is a wonderful El Dorado for botanists, historians, geologists and archaeologists. The Alpine Adventure Program contains: a guided walk, joint gorge crossing (for experienced adventurers), whitewater rafting, kayaking, canyoning in a Canadian boat, mountain bike tours on the largest mountain bike trails of Carinthia's Nature Arena (mountain bikes available on the square), and light biking through Gailtal. From the mountain to the sea: the alpine camp is an ideal starting point for tours to Italy and Slovenia. The Gailtal, Gitschtal, Lesachtal, Weissensee and Carnic as well as the Gailtaler Alps form a natural gem, and thanks to the topography, makes an ideal destination. Mountain roads and lakes without end, as well as regional specialties and the culture of three countries, are yours to experience in the course of these tours. As an extra highlight: you can climb the highest mountain in Austria, the Grossglockner (3,798 meters).
