DESCRIPTION & COMPOSITION
The impressive mountain view offered by the Mauthen-Kötschach resort will help make your holiday - in summer or in winter - an unforgettable experience. The combination of comfortable camping facilities with sound environmental management was rewarded in 2005 with the European Eco-Label certification. The facilities include an adventure playground with jungle gyms, swings, a seesaw, play tower and sandbox. There is also a shop with oven-fresh breakfast pastries, pizza service, homemade bio-products, magazines, souvenirs and more; all the products are of the highest quality. The unique wellness oasis offers high-temperature dry sauna, crystal steam bath, "Schwitzkastl" with colored lights, steam room with a giant stove and a fitness room and massage. With "home made" treats and barbecue evenings in the garden, you are expected at the "S Tavern" Restaurant. Meals are served from 11h to 14h, and in the evening from 18h to 22h.
These 4-star energy efficient The cabins are made exclusively from untreated solid wood. As a result of this selection process, the wood did not require treating, thus they were able to achieve a 100% allergy-free cottage. These new cabins are on the ground floor and have an open gallery. On the ground floor, next to an anteroom, there is a fully-equipped kitchenette, a sofa (2 beds), a cozy dining area and of course, the cozy small stove, which needs to be heated electrically, and a spacious terrace. In the gallery, accessible via a small staircase, you will find one double and one single bed. The beds have allergy-free duvets and pillows. Your bedding should have a size of 140cm x 200cm for the blankets and 90cm x 90 cm for the pillows. The cabin is equipped with a flat-screen television and high-speed Internet access via Wi-Fi. Especially for winter guests there is floor heating. The design of the apartment is like that of a country house.

From the mountain to the water: entry to the "AQUARENA" (a 10-minute walk away), an aquatic and wellness oasis, is free for the guests of this accommodation! In the "AQUARENA" you will find an indoor swimming pool with massage bank and soil bubbling, a toddler and baby pool with all sorts of attractions for children, a 45 meter tube slide, outdoor pool with flow channel, Finnish sauna, samarium, bio, Roman tepidarium, Turkish steam bath, fizzy basin for the legs, bucket shower and cold plunge pool. The mountains of the Gailtaler and Carnic Alps around Kötschach-Mauthen offer a unique challenge for walkers, hikers, mountaineers and climbers. Among the most popular destinations are the Calnic Ridgeway, the Geo on Plöcken Pass, Wolayer Lake and the paths of peace - in the field of the open-air museum - on Plöcken Pass. An adventurous tour across the gorge on Mauthner suspension bridges and footbridges is sure to be an unforgettable experience. Kötschach-Mauthen is a wonderful Dorado even for botanists, historians, geologists and archaeologists. The Alpine-adventure program contains: guided walk, joint gorge crossing (for experienced adventurers), whitewater rafting, kayaking, canyoning in a Canadian boat, mountain bike tours in the largest mountain bike trails of Carinthia's Nature Area (mountain bikes available on the square), and light biking through Gailtal. From the mountain to the sea: the Alpine Camp is an ideal starting point for tours to Italy and Slovenia. The Gailtal, Gitschtal, Lesachtal, Weissensee and the Carnic and Gailtaler Alps form a natural gem, and thanks to the topography, makes an ideal target. Mountain roads and lakes without end, as well as regional specialties and the culture of three countries are yours to experience during the course of these tours. As an extra highlight: climb the highest mountain in Austria, the Grossglockner (3,798 meters).
