DESCRIPTION & COMPOSITION

No matter the season, this accommodation in the middle of the Bavarian Forest makes a wonderful holiday destination! In the summer the outdoor swimming pool provides lots of aquatic fun while children can enjoy themselves on the adventure playground. You can play badminton, volleyball, tennis or miniature golf. Near the park there is also an extensive network of footpaths where Nordic Walking is now widely practiced. In winter the Bavarian Forest is a magical landscape! The magic begins with a sleigh ride or you can go cross-country skiing on more than 40 kilometers of cross-country trails which lie within the vicinity of the park. Skiing and snowboarding are possible on the 1100-meter-high Geißkopf, situated 3 km from the park. The park also has a ski school and ski equipment rental service. After a day outdoors enjoy the sauna or indoor pool. You can eat in the restaurant or bistro. Kids have not been left out either. An activity team provides many fun activities and there are weekly organized programs for the whole family including bowling and a guided hike. For your baby, you can rent baby equipment, including a baby bath and bottle warmer. There is also a babysitting service available. In this beautiful area there is always plenty to do. At the reception desk you can even buy tickets for Legoland Deutschland. Then you do not have to waste any of your precious vacation time standing in line at the checkout!

Type E: This type apartment is located in a building with the Bavarian name Rusel. The apartment has a total floor space of approximately 38.5 m2 and is suitable for 3 persons. The large living room has a couch and a dining area. There is a fully equipped kitchen which includes a coffee maker, kettle and microwave. In the separate bedroom you’ll find two separate single beds. Another sleeping accommodation (one single bed) is located in a recess which is separated from the living room by a curtain. In the hall there are some storage lockers. There is also a bathroom with a shower and toilet and a loggia with a table and two chairs so you can sit outside in the summer. The apartment comes with a vacuum cleaner, television / radio and telephone.

CADRE DU LOGEMENT ET ACTIVITÉS

The Bayerischer Wald National Park is the oldest nature preserve in Germany (1970). It is called the “green roof of Europe” and is a true paradise for nature lovers. A total of 1100 kilometers of long distance footpaths have been constructed here, the most famous being the Goldsteig, a 660 km long trail which takes you through a beautiful countryside past famous landmarks. Bicycles can be rented in the Bavarian Forest. Mountain bikers can test their endurance curbing the tops of the 300-kilometer-long “Mountain Bike Eldorado”. The many lakes and rivers in the area allow you to enjoy a variety of water sports. A stay in the Bavarian Forest is also good for the health as the area contains 16 open-air spas. For families with children, there is also plenty to see and do here. There is even a tourist office for children, "Kinderlandbüro”. And when you’re tired of all the trees of the Bavarian Forest, you can visit one of the many glass factories or museums along the "Glass Straße" or explore one of the medieval castles in the vicinity. In winter the highest mountains in the Bavarian Forest, Großer Arber (1456 m) and Geisskopf, make wonderful destinations. They are situated 45 and 3 km (respectively) from the park. The Große Arber is also known for its annual FIS World Cup which draws thousands of visitors each year. The ski resort of Geisskopf has eight broad, varied slopes which are suitable for beginners, advanced and even expert skiers. For snowboarders there is a quarter-pipe and a fun park. If you would like to be sure of snow, you can hike along one of the serene white nature paths or cross-country trails. The latest trend is a combination of Nordic walking and trail running. In the summer you should definitely go to the fun park located at the valley station of Neukirchen, near Heiligenblut at the bottom of the Hohe Bogen. Here it’s all about the skating! There is a skate lift, a downhill path, a fitness trail and even a summer toboggan run. Inline skates can be rented. Finally, don’t forget to visit the Bayerwald Tierpark Lohberg with its 300 indigenous species.
