DESCRIPTION & COMPOSITION

Mas Lou Magnan is a 200 year old stone house in the small village of Grospierres. The west wing has been sympathetically converted into just two independent studios, each with its own private roofed balcony and the use of a beautiful 9 x 5m swimming pool.

Studio TOURTERELLE is on the first floor up a few stone steps and this room benefits from stunning mountain views. It also has the advantage of lovely authentic patterned French floor tiles.

On the same floor is a very large optional kingsize bedroom (RAFIKI) next door with private shower room should there be more than 2 in your party. This can also be let on a Chambre d'Hotes/daily basis.

Studio CIGALE is on the ground floor and has a twin arched terrace, looking on to the garden. There is a fire-place in this room. Table and chairs for al fresco dining.

Both rooms are light and airy with glistening new ensuite shower rooms. They look out onto a large garden with an original old well, leading to the swimming pool with relaxing sunloungers.

Each room (22 sq m) is fully equipped and has a coin cuisine with 2-ring hob, fridge-freezer, kettle, toaster, microwave. Good quality kingsize beds with reading lights.

Outside on each terrace (7 sq m) is a table and seating for 2/4.

All bedding and room towels supplied at no extra cost. Use of the washing machine available for a small supplement, hairdryer in the room and iron available.

Please note that in high summer if it is very dry, the barbecue may not be allowed.

Chocolates, flowers and champagne are all available on request.

CADRE DU LOGEMENT ET ACTIVITÉS

The dramatic countryside, vineyards, flower fields and views in the Ardeche are stunning. The climate is Mediterranean with beautiful weather extending from early spring to late autumn.

There are several colourful local markets and many wonderful medieval villages to visit in the area. The towns of Montelimar, Nimes, Ales, Uzes, Ales, Orange and Avignon are all within an easy drive or bus journey.

The Ardeche offers many activities: canoeing and kayaking on the River Ardeche 5 mins away, the Gorges de l'Ardeche 5 mins. drive away, horseriding, paragliding, motocross, karting, tennis, country walks amid the vineyards and sunflowers from the doorstep, cycling or just paddling in the stream close by.

Grospierres offers a supermarket within 10 mins walk as well as an excellent bar and restaurants. A hypermarket is within 10 mins drive.

Fresh fruit and flowers are available from the roadside in season.

LES PRIX ET PÉRIODES

The studios are available all year.

Rentals are generally from Saturday to Saturday. Short-term lets off-season. We request a 100 euro deposit when making a reservation. The balance, along with a refundable 100 euro breakages deposit is due four weeks before arrival. Deposits will be refunded subject to inspection.
